Does this happen during shifting? I.e. boost tapers down to yellow when the revs increase to max and then go back to orange when the tranny shifts up and the revs decrease? Keeping the foot to the floor, full throttle upshifts?
This is something I wanted to ask you automatic guys, because when I upshift with the manual, the boost level is actually less than with the lower gear (@ same revs). Then if I ease on the throttle, let the revs go down just a tad and put it back to the floor gently I get full boost. Is this related to spool up time or what? I can hear the hooter valve work and I've tested it with a vacuum pump. Starts to pass at 200 mbar and no leaks with 1 bar pressure in the high pressure side so it should be OK.
Maybe IC heat soak (20-30 F ambient) ?
Just want to understand what's happening in the system.
Ari ? Anders ?
Thanks guys, Tapani.
