turbo pressure back to the intake side. It takes a little time for the pressure to build back up when
you the apply the gas. I don't understand why you have to ease the throttle and then floor it to get
max boost. If, after you shift, the motor's RPM is about 2500 to 3000 rpm and you floor it, you
should get full boost.
I have only done full throttle up-shifts with my Auto a few times (to much stress on the transmission
with a modified ECU). But, the boost response when an automatic shifts at full throttle is different than
what would happen for normal shift on a manual. On a manual, you lift the throttle during a shift causing
the hooter to dump turbo pressure. On an auto, you keep the throttle wide open during the shift and
the valve will not dump boost. With an auto, the boost will taper as the rpms climb to redline, then,
when the transmission shifts and the rpms drop 1500 rpm, the boost will climb back to the max boost
and then taper again.
