Finished this and did final testing. It works, starts the car, runs a little rough, then smooths out. But it starts the car fairly quickly and reliably.
To test cold, disconnect the thermo-time switch connector. Connect a test light across the cold start connector. Ground the coil HT lead to the block, I used an alligator clip test lead. Crank the engine and watch the light blink. The blink starts a little under 2 seconds of cranking and then blinks about every 1/2 second.
The "extra" relay socket of the fuse box was used with SAAB relay 85 68 271. Ground was run to the grounding block under the fuse box. Pin 50 was run to pin 87 of the "start inhibitor relay" Pin 87 runs down to pin 50 of the starter motor solenoid. Mine had a factory jumper instead of a start inhibitor relay originally, but was replaced with the Bosch WR1 starter relay kit. That relay kit comes with a 5 pin relay with 2 pin 87's which made this really clean.
Finally tackled the green wire to the cold start valve. I replaced the connector at the cold start valve with a Bosch EV1 1287 013 003. I crimped 2 green wires to the pin there and ran the new green wire through 3/16" PVC loom back to the fuse box for a factory look. It connects to pin 31b of the pulse relay.
