Hey everybody, I'm picking up the burnt orange 99 on TSN from Evan today and getting ready to make the 907 mile road trip back to North Carolina from Wisconsin. Let me apologize for not making the Run For The Hills event in WV this weekend. If I get out of WI on time, I may try to stop by there if the car drives okay.

This has been a very trying trip thus far. Removed the fuel pump from my old 99 to take with me (Evan - said the one on his car died). Delta airlines told me to clean and pack it well. Guess what? Got to the airport and they denied the pump. So I had to leave it at the Delta Airlines counter (Pissed). Now, I'm on my way to Wisconsin with no pump to drive home, on a holiday weekend.

Here's what I did: Opened my laptop and began surfing in the Cincinnati airport. Visited http://www.car-part.com (used parts) and found 10 pumps. Called the closest one to Wisconsin in St. Paul, MN. They had it, paid them by credit card and asked them to leave it inside the front gate. They did. Evan came to the airport to pick me up and I told him I had to go to St. Paul or sit around here for 3 days until after the holiday. Well, I rented a car and drove the 5 hour trip to Minnesota. Picked up the pump and turned around, only being stopped once (with a warning) for 82 in a 65 mph zone.

Now I sit in a hotel room anxiously awaiting Evan's call, to go by his house, install the pump and road test. Afterwhich, I expect to be on the road no later than 2pm.

My drive will take me from WI, Ill, IN, OH, WV then home. Taking the 94 -65 to 77 route. Keep your fingers crossed for me. If anyone wants to talk (to help me stay awake) call my cell (408) 718-4932.
