Hey all,

I got in last night from Wisconsin. Left Sunday after at 4pm and ran into the tornado's and rain in the midwest - so I pulled over. Plus, the headlights worked erratically and wouldn't come back on, although the signals and flashers are fine (may be a ground somewhere).

Left Indianapolis at 5am Monday morning and pulled back into NC around 7pm DEAD TIRED. The car has a severe high idle, seems to be fuel starved when changing gears that the engine jerks between shifting. I think it's an ignition problem (your thoughts)?

- Gear shift jerked very terribly the entire ride - think mounts are bad?
- Unbelieveable high idle to keep it running after adjusting throttle
- Couldn't find timing mark on flywheel with friends light
- All lights worked except headlights after replacing relay - Ground?
- Engine jerks when increasing fuel load - injectors? timing?

Otherwise it did very well. Handle good with just a light wander in the rack (no knocking). Maintained 65 to 70 mph for 900 miles. However, did blow out the muffler around 400 miles from here and sounded like one of those new mufflers the kids are using.

I'll have pics at this URL http://saabpics.org:3000/gallery/album285 - Once I figure out how to get rid of the darn pop-up blocker keeping me from uploading.

Thanks for all your help during the trip, especially the phone calls and offers.
