You've hit the nail on the head with everything. However, after this morning trying to get the 80 running properly, I'm leaning towards dumping rusty. I've tried everything.
- Removed, cleaned and replaced throttle
- Cleaned fuel filter
- Checked Auxiliary Air Valve
- Checked Cold Start Valve
- Replaced vaccum diaphrahm on radiator
- Replaced ground strap
- Checked fuel pump
- Adjusted throttle plate stop
- Inspected distributor
- Repaired radiator coolant switch
- Inspected Warm up regulator
- Replaced Ignition Control Unit with known good one.
Why all this. Because, the car will run for 1-2 mins then slowly shut down (as being fuel starved). I don't have an 80 fuel dist. to check with and I don't want to pull that before checking everything else. Which leaves me to the injectors. But, the car holds throttle when accelerator his depressed.
I don't recall feeling any grooves in the inners, it just doesn't feel too tight. I'll re-torque everything.
Finally, after spending 6 hrs on the 80 this morning, you know what's going to happen.
