I'm still surviving without EWP, but paying attention.
RE: warm-up I'm bothered by the full tilt all the time pump. Seems it would be relatively easy to set up for two speed and allow the engine to get warm before full pump speed.[ with T-stat ] The control system should have some sort of deflector in place of the T-stat, or no flow to heat core?
The stock system is sort of two stage, warm up with flow to heat core, followed by opening of the T-stat and flow thru the radiator.
Over-efficiency of the radiator could be tested by simple blocking of portions of the radiator from air flow, and might be a good idea for winter when you don't really need all the radiator capacity.
I just received a 99 with a large 'American' EWP. I'll report on it once I've had a chance to evaluate the car.
