What to do? What to do?
The body is restorable IMO> except the bashed in/rusted hatch should be replaced, it was painted once(very poor job) and has signs of bondo> so it would need to be stripped to bare metal, engine hasn't run since 1998, tranny condition is unknown(but a spare 5spd was in the back?), seats are not worth fixing/recovering(burgundy leather C-900 seats would look nice in it), carpet looks trashed> at least the front is, evidence of mice living in it(but they didn't chew on the wiring...how odd), AC dash and underhood components probably aren't worth putting money into, so I will remove it all...exhaust and tires are shot too.
$200 for the car, $300 to get it home(gas is expensive!)...16 hours on the road yesterday too. The weather is supposed to be nice the next few days, so maybe I'll gut it and assess it further....maybe try to get it running too! If the engine runs, I'll seriously consider restoring it, but this one will not be a concourse car for a few years.
