Indirect Brake Piston Problem? Posted by Nicholas [Email] (#2995) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Nicholas) on Sat, 10 Sep 2005 02:05:50 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
I purchased remanufactured front brakes for my 76 99. I installed the passenger caliper into the yoke and the indirect piston (the back of the caliper where the parking brake lever connects) fell out. Is this normal? I can place the piston back in its place, but when I install it on the yoke, along with the parking brake lever, it doesn't take much for the whole thing to fall apart, on account of the indirect piston falling out. I can install everything so it does stay together, but I have to be careful not to make the idirect piston fall out. Will the piston act normal once I set the brakes, or was I sold a deffective caliper?
