Ok, not the whole rack, but the inner tie-rod bushings and the main bushing at the end opposite the steering wheel. Those pieces, along with two springs and two washers are all that make up the rebuild kit. I have never had a 99 with a decent rack so when I snagged one of the "last kits in the US...how often have I heard/said that!..I decided that before I use the kit, I'd have it reverse engineered by some friends at the engineering lab on campus. They are simple pieces and will be scanned to a cad file and 3-D printed to make sure the end product matches. Andy in PDX suggested a possible bronze replacement for some of these. Would anyone be interested in something like this? I am calling in favors for my portion, so I imagine they'd want some money to make a few of them, but I think they could easily recreate these in whatever material seems best suited to last longer than the plastic/whatever the rebuild kit uses. Let me know folks, as I don't have much longer here.

I just accepted a job at Ashland University in Ashland, OH. I know some of you are in O-H-I-O so it will be nice to have 99 company. I should be heading back to UTAH to clear up a few things over the summer and I think I still have a slew of 99 parts (I know I have two full B-Motors) still just south of Provo. I remember someone calling out for 99s in SLC. Let me know if we should meet up to give out parts.
