That is what I thought orginally. I would be intrested in getting the drawings and informations so that if I need to rebuild my rack I will be able to have a machine shop fabricate the required parts. My guess the cost for this kit would be around $75-$150. This could be way off depending on time to make the parts and material that is used.

Bronze might be a good option to be used. Alloy 630 High-Stength Bronze is excellent for applications involving heavy loads, friction, abrasive wear, and crrosion. This alloy is used for bearings in aircraft landing gear. Alloy 932 also know as SAE 660 could also be a good choise, it is softer than Alloy 630 and easier to machine. Alloy 932 is used for bushings and bearings.

Other options might be Derlin. Derlin is a high strnght and wear resistant thermoplastic with great rigidty and self lubricating. This is used as an alternative to polyurethane for suspension work. Not knowing exactly that this part is this maybe a great option as it will abosrbe more shock from bumps in the road where the bronze will not give any. Polyurethane may even be a could even be used.

I am sure the people that are doing the revese enineering will have some good suggestions.

As I said at the begining it would be great to get the information about the kit (drawings, 3d model, material suggestion ect.) Information like this will allow us to be able to get a kit made when the need arises. I would be intrested in do this similar type of thing for other parts that are becoming no longer avalabile or already are. My biggest issue is not having the orginal part or used part to work from. If anyone is intrested in helping put together this information let me know, I have solidworks for modeling and drafting. With 3d models and drawings of the parts they would be easy to have a shop make the part.
