Yes, it was the case of the throwing parts idea! There is something about hearing an engine cranking and cranking and not running. cranking..cranking. cranking...not firing. cranking, cranking..cranking... and that car looks so cute!

Then back to sitting on those mint "brown clothed" seats with that thick orange factory manual,

Again! cranking..cranking..cranking..

Pulling the fuel hose..petrol emerging right out..testing for spark..yes! and strong! going over the contact points..

Cranking..cranking..cranking.. Darn! It can make one deranged.

But now I am ok. Thanks for that "TPS" link Doug. I remembered that article when that Nines arrived years ago.

Unfortunately, I did not have a chance to work on the 99( my other Saab exhaust/ headpipe sheared; and talk about noise! and intense carbon monoxide in the cabin)

I'm almost itching to drive that 99.

Earlier today, whilst running down the expressway with my classic 900 Turbo(98,000)..entering a hairpin turn..., a Mamixa and a erractic Camry simultaneosly, dangerously ran alongside neck to neck on the bend.

Well, I hit the accelerator on the turn, and whoosh!....

That C900 came out of that turn flying..Whoosh!... for good measure, I struck the pedal again.. 85mph no strain and smooth..no qualms, no effort, handling superb..glue and tight!...you Saab nuts! Did I mention..no strain? I'm no speed head, yet the sight of those "copycat" cars sitting WAY back in the dust fed an ego I thought had lost.

I then thought of that little 74 99 D jet. I wondered if I was driving that little cute car..., would I have had the handling or even close to thatzooming impressive power?

A voice entered my head..."Place a 16valve Turbo in her..make her a beast!"

Another voice said... " No, leave her original!...it is rare car...remember your 79EMS you had in 1989? That car was fast..do not butcher that 99.

Another voice..said:

"Yeah, but that was a 900 EMS.

Then the voices dissapeared...

Well, I am back to where I was, before that run in that unique 900T. Keep her original!

Thanks for all of the help gentlemen.

I have a feeling I will be zooming down road with 1974 Djet power in a week.

I'll report back!
