Kevin, thanks.
Hopefully, I did not ruin the trigger points. The reason why I took the sandpaper to them for they appeared slightly corroded, yet only slight.
Is there anyway of knowing if the trigger points are still good?
If, while I am cranking the engine, the tach needle is bouncing, and firing from the plugs, does n't it mean my ignition system is working correctly?
In this manner; I placed the key to the ignition switch, open the contact points in the distibutor, and get a flash.
I listened to those clicks from the injectors when opening the throttle, and I got 19.
If after spraying the starter fluid, with no firing, does that not point to an ignition problem?
Lastly, the throttle stop screw tab is broken off of the side of the throttle throat. but again opening the throttle slightly does not make a difference. And it was broken when I purchased the car, and the engine always fired.
I'll go over all the wiring; I feel it is something simple. I also have the Haynes manual.
Working all day today, next chance will be after the weekend.
Thanks again Kevin;
