engines, in terms of parts. I thought it was just the chain tensioner and guides. I just browsed a site, and the intake/exhaust manifold gaskets are obsolete! The wheel bearings ( pre 1975) are obsolete, the exhaust header pipe(pre 75)the mufflers, the brake booster, the valve shims...engine gasket set, etc.
What will happen in five years from now? I don't understand why they phased these parts out. (old supply and demands of course) yet are the 99s that rare now? There still exist at least a small market of 99 owners with original B engines. There seams to be more parts availble for the pre 99 Saabs.perhaps due to the Ford engine and the shape; hence more interest in those models.
But the 99 is a nice car too! Overall, there seams to be less interest in the 99.
I don't wish to butcher a car to force a fat 16valve in the engine room.
Any other part suppliers, sources Saabers?
Thanks
