Paper gaskets can be made if it comes to it. Not fun, but possible. Exhaust gaskets could be a problem, but aftermarket ones are readily available. However, last time I contacted Elring who made the originals for Saab, headsets for at least the turbo B engine were "plentiful", so shouldn't be too much hassle. Engine gaskets mostly can be replaced with non-rtv gasket goo anyway - which is what Saab changed over to.
English Rovers used similar valve shims, not sure on the models though. They come in thicker sizes too, so if you have a ground cam you'd need to source non-Saab ones anyway (or is the header what we call the manifold?).
Wheel bearings are always popping up on ebay, and a stainless exhaust from a one-off manufacturer whilst expensive is a permanent soloution.
Don't panic - yet :)
