My Stroker tends to fluctuate, depending upon the condition of the plugs, tempurature, and humidity. In general it is quite peppy, it breathes well. The importance of this for a two cycle is that if it doesn't breathe well due to porting (holes in the sides of the engine block allowing gas in and exhaust out). If the ports are not good in the first place, little can be done. For a stroker to breathe well is like having a high performance camshaft in a four stroke. It is possible to adjust the ports, but unless you are an expert welder, and have a machine shop at your disposal it isn't worth the time. I've never had the exhaust off of my vehicle, but it needs to be taken care of soon. looking into the tail pipe, about an eighth of an inch of soot is visible around the edges. I'm saving up for the $300 MotorSport Sweden 2" exhaust package... from manifold to the rear bumper. If the price is important it is possible to remove the exhaust system and have it burnt out. I'm not sure exactly how it is done but basically all the carbon build up is removed with high heat. or if you're really hard headed and don't want anyone to do your work for you: take the pipe off, plug up one end and let a solution of kerosene, or some other solvent soak inot the ash. then using whatever tools you have at yoru disposal (roto-rooter if you are willing to spend time cleaning, or dispose of it) scrape out the insides of the tube, this should restore the performance very well. most build up happens the further you get from the engine due to lower tempuratures, so the tailpipe and rear muffler are the most likely spots for build up. as for me, i have no rear muffler. It was removed by a previous owner and now the exhaust is merely a straight pipe from the front muffler back except where it dips out and under the rear fender. GREAT SOUND!
