OK. I'm back in the States from Japan!!
HERE IS THE PART NUMBER YOU NEED:
NAPA # 501-1742 Fuel Level Gauge and Sending Unit
The instructions are included in the kit... to use with the supplied aftermarket gauge. However, I'm sure you'll want to use the original SAAB VDO gauge, so some modifications to the sender from the kit are needed.
PLEASE REFERENCE: NINES ISSUE #243 (JANUARY 2000) PAGES 31-32.
I have no scanner or I'd scan the pages. Maybe another VSaaber may help.
The article describes how to use this p/n for all V4 cars. I'll summarize for you to use in a 95 Wagon: you must only use the short strap w/ the kit, as the 95 wagon gas tank is very thin, vertically. You must also reverse the sending unit in it's mount to read in the correct Empty-Full direction to use w/ the SAAB VDO gauge. You must also rotate the round top mount to match the SAAB bolt pattern on the external tank. You will lose the "low level indicator" light function. The article also describes how to test the original unit using a digital-volt-ohm-meter.
GOOD LUCK!!
