If you are comfortable replacing the rubber in your calipers and wheel cylinders then I think you have some experience and may be comfortable working over the M/C, which is more complicated and more likely to present disassembly and rebuilding problems, as may the calipers and W/Cyls of course. Getting the white nylon washer out is not always easy. However if your M/C is badly pitted, sleeving or replacement or conversion are the proper answers.
I forgot one step in my proposed flushing procedure, after flush with isopropyl, then flush again with compressed air to remove all traces of alcohol. This would be with all bleeder screws open or better, removed. Then rebleed with pressure bleeder.
Braking performance of 95/96 Saabs in good shape is very satisfactory IMHO, if you don't think you're driving a porch.
