I do notice the fuel being sucked up more without the freewheel, but I feel like i'm walking on egg shells (if you will) when freewheel is on and I am "catching up" and trying not to do so too fast. With freewheel off, I just accelerate without concern. it seems faster, and much more fun. Or maybe I am doing it wrong. Did that make any sense? I will always keep freewheeling in a working state because I am a Saab nut and I love the vintage of it all. Plus I know I will want to freewheel from time to time just because I can :-) now if I can keep my B engine 99 running. parts are getting hard to find.
