Ashcraft book walks you right through the dis assembly and assembly. Like Brian mentioned , the honing of the bores, the change of bearings, leave that to a machine shop. What you can do is use Jack Lawrence for parts(cheaper than the other two) and use Ashcraft book. Teh book hints to advice as well, I paid I think 60.00 for it, and I do not regret it. The other book..( high performance I did not find it was worth it. Order JAck Lawrence manual..to check pricing... BEFORE you start the job. The great thing about opening your engine is that it kills the mystery and you better understand your car. If you have the space...go for it. Machine work can get expensive, and make certain they have been around a bit, and feel them out in terms of info.
