V4 starting problem...maybe the PCV

On my V4 I have a 2bbl weber carb with a manual choke. The choke works and seals all the way when i set the accelerator, but sometimes it still wont start. Maybe it is because when it gets hot the carb bowl boils. I doubt its vapor lock in the lines because i have them insulated very well.

The other thing I thought of is the positive crankcase ventilation. When the choke is on, the engine can still suck air through the PCV hoses (through the crankcase). Is that PCV air enough to cancel out the effects of the choke? Any other ideas?
