Hi Adam, the driver's freewheel control is as you know a handle on a rod under the center of the dash. The freewheel may have been disabled by simply removing the control, in which case you will see the white plastic quadrant that the rod engages, under the hood on top of the transmission. If that is absent the freewheel has probably been neutered, that is disabled internally in the trans. A neutered freewheel would suggest an alert owner who cares about such things. Opinions vary about neutering the freewheel which is a holdover from 2-strokes and IMHO not pertinent on V4s. They can break and cause problems and drivers do not understand them; they are best done away with, ie neutered not simply disabled. Jack Ashcraft has an inexpensive kit.
