Dieseling happens when you turn off the key, which stops the spark plugs from firing, but you still have A) fuel and B) a source of ignition (obviously not the spark plugs). You have to have both or it will not diesel. Ignition timing is mistakenly identified as a cause but has nothing to do with it because you have turned off the spark.
So where's the fuel coming from? The carburetors, obviously. The idle speed is set too high or there is a defect allowing fuel to continue to flow although the throttle plate is closed. Usually the former.
So where's the ignition coming from? Residual heat in the combustion chamber, often in the form of glowing carbon particles adhering to the piston, valve faces, spark plugs, or head surface.
What to do? First set idle speed to spec; then seek other carburetor faults that allow fuel to flow with the throttle closed (I don't know what is a ZS carb so don't know what defects they are prone to), then make sure you have the correct spark plugs correctly gapped and assess their condition (white, grey, brown, black, furry, etc)then try an induction system cleaning such as motorvac.
