Justin's right, there'll be loads of little things to check & replace: a lot of the rubber seals will have gone hard too... there are lots of them in the fuel system, fuel boost system, pump, as well as the brakes and clutch... and you'll likely get them giving up after it's been running a little or when you stand on the brakes... Fuel injection hoses will likely have gone crispy too.
As for trying to start it, it would be best IMHO to treat it like a start after a major overhaul: take the plugs out and drip a little oil in (bung up with rags) to loosen the rings up before you try to turn it over with the ignition disconnected - you wouldn't want to break a ring. The manual MAY suggest getting some oil in the turbo, I'm not sure. Chances are when you try to start it nothing will happen cos the clutch'll be seized solid. Two option here; use a big meaty battery or [take a deep breath] put it in gear and drag it to unstick the clutch.
It sounds like a lot of work but if the car isn't full of holes (mileage is pretty low for the year really) of banged up it has to be worth it. Treat it as a project and enjoy it.
