John, I'm sorry to hear about your 99. I did take the other route and rear ended a large truck with one of mine earlier this year. It's been a lot of work, but I'm just about done. If your insured, it will make it a lot easier. If not, as I was, you've got some decisions to make. What I did was have a body shop cut/weld the fender I got at a junkyard. I did all the rest of the bodywork, and it's now ready for paint. It's a lot of work, but it hasn't been too bad. Looking back, I could have done it all, but I wanted to get it back on the road as soon as possible. It also allowed me to not just repair the damage, but to look at the job as a restoration. I repainted the engine bay and detailed it as well. If you repair the car, you might as well make it as good as you can. With fresh paint, even the earliest 99's look very modern. If you know of any 99's in junkyards near you, check them out for donor panels, and see what it would set you back. You'd be suprised how fast and easy it would be to cut them off with a cordless sawzall. The yard could torch them off as well. With a good gameplan, you could have it back on the road in the spring. best of luck.
