Where do you get "lighter and stiffer body" from?? As far as I've ever known, the EMS body was no different than any other 99 body. Certainly when I worked for a dealer in '74-'75 there was no difference, except the available colors and the trim. The EMS was never a lightened body shell, nor was there any stiffening added from the regular cars. If the EMS is any lighter, it's because of alloy rims and foam/plastic interior panels vs. the fiberboard ones, but I'm not even sure that difference is significant. Some years the EMS had Bilstien shocks, which gave improved handling over the stock Boge's. Wider tires than the stock 165x15's made some difference in handling, too. The steering rack was a quicker ratio, too.
