Melanie, I have to ask the same question, why do you think the oil pump is clogged? What is the mileage on the car? When you had it running was the balance shaft turning the fan and alternator? The V4 oil pumps had a very long life span and were usually trouble free. If you pull just the engine a suggestion, disconnect the engine mounts and misc stuff and lift it up attached to the trans (gently)so it lifts the trans, then put a block of wood under the trans to hold it up, then unbolt the trans and pull the engine. This makes it a lot easier to get the engine back onto the trans when you reinstall it. My question about the balance shaft relates to the problem of the fiber gear shearing and the particles will clogg the oil screen.
