What a great post & pictures! Swaps like this can get confusing! If i under
stand correctly, you swapped the engine and tranny with accompanying pictured stub axles (?) from one car to another. The picture shows the
axles are abviously different lengths, which would cause all kinds of binds
if it was put into a body in which a different length worked ok. In the
first picture it looks like the top of the shaft has the gearing that
fits into the tranny, right? Are the two gears the same diameter? Have you
tried substituting the shorter, (or longer, whichever) in the tranny and
connecting the rest of it up to the wheels? In other words switch the stub
axle from the tranny you put in, with the stub from the axle you took out?
Whatever. Just a thought.
