I looked in the service manual and it says to press the impellar onto the shaft by means of the left handed nut and the special tool that locks the impellar. Well I searched through my endless boxes of parts and was unable to locate a left handed nut for it. Not to mention I busted one whole side of the threads off when removing the impellar the first time. Friggen cast iron!!!...I also looked for another shaft and unfortunately the only other 12 cog one I have is missing the top 2/3 of the threads. I have two brand new 8 coggers in a box, but as life sucks they are no use to me with a 79 block.

Can I just use the pump press with the extra collar to press the impellar on? Seems like it would work and the impellar would not have to be blocked because the press would only be pushing straight down.
