You shouldn't tee a crankcase vent or anything else into the brake booster line, that would make a giant vacuum leak and the engine would run very poorly if at all. The existing vent on the R valve cover is to let air into the crankcase, which is then pulled through the PCV valve into the intake system to burn crankcase fumes instead of venting them to the atmosphere (as was done before PCV systems). Both valve covers are connected internally to the crankcase through the pushrod holes and oil drain holes which drain valve lubrication back to the sump, so there is no need to separately vent the left cover. Many vehicles draw crankcase ventilation from clean air inside the air cleaner, instead of an atmosphere vent as shown in Gary's picture. I have the same air cleaner he does so do not recall the stock configuration with regular air cleaner. There is nothing wrong with that, in fact I just looked and my air cleaner base is equipped with a fitting to do just that, so I will change it over. To do that you need a valve cover/oil filler cap that seals fairly well to the valve cover and has a small nipple to run to the air cleaner nipple. The advantage of this setup is that when the engine is under load, eg on acceleration, you have lower engine vacuum (thus reduced PCV flow) and higher blowby (gases leaking into the crankcase past the rings, from higher combustion chamber pressures), which can (depending on engine condition etc) result in more crankcase pressure than the PCV valve can handle, which positive pressure forces the excess fumes out the breather. If vented to the air cleaner as described, these are then drawn into the engine and burned rather than being vented to the atmosphere increasing pollution. These V4s are not exactly clean runners by current standards, so you might as well do what you can.
