Hi All,
Wondering if anyone has any sources for new front wheel bearings. I found some parts to convert to disk brakes (thanks Roger) but the bearings in the knuckles are a bit rough feeling. I think I've crossed the number over to a standard sort of bearing, a #5306 "angular contact double row." Now I go to the local bearing shop and they show me this one, it is the right size and all but only has half the number of balls inside! Some sort of new design with an internal ball separator thingie and a lot of air. I also tried ordering one online, got it, but it is poor quality with a lot of slop. I wonder if the "air" bearing will work.
Thanks again for the help in past with the master cyl. I went the route of having it brass-sleeved, and used a rebuild kit I found in my box of goodies. Also sleeved the clutch master and slave as those were shot too. Sleeving only cost about $60 bucks each, rebuild kits were about $12. Not too bad.
