Socket size question/Elec. fuel pump questions

Can anyone tell me the socket size for the large nut holding the rear hub on? I want to pick one up, and judging by the size, there is probably nothing else I'm going to use the thing on.
Also, I picked up an electric fuel pump from Chip at West of Sweden. The pump is an Airtex, and my question is: I didn't get a pressure regulator with the pump, and Chip didn't mention needing one, does anyone know if I need one with this particular brand of pump? Also I read that the pump should be mounted at a 45 degree angle to keep from running dry and damaging the pump. Is that true. I am assuming that is with the outlet pointing upwards at 45 degrees? And the entire pump sitting on the same level or lower than the fuel tank?
If I do need a regulator, could anyone give me some advise on what type is best, where to place regulator in conjunction to the rest of the fuel line assembly, and where to buy the recommended regulator.
