The "stroker" is the only one with a real Saab engine! The v-4 was a Ford
transplant after Saab had reached the limit of the storkers p[otential in
Road Races all over Europe. The V-4 runied the handling characteristics,
in my opinion, but was nicer for long trips, good gas mileage and was in part invlueced by the EPA emphasis on emissions, which cause storkers to
be embarassed at stop lights. If you are the "do it yourseolf" kind of guy
the stroker engine is a beauty of engineering and simplicity. It is the only Automobile, (not go-kart) I know of that you can pull the engine without a hoist, (your back), change the rings and be bak and running inside of two hours. If you are more for show and go, cruising, prefer to
wax than changing plugs, you would probably be happier with the V-4.
