It's been about a month and 5,000 miles since I bought my 2011 95, and overall I'm very pleased with just a few minor disappointments. The mileage represents 2 round trips to Michigan from Virginia, the second RT via the Albany, NY area on business. I'm consistently getting 30+ mpg on the highway, which I'm very happy with. The best run was the first return from Michigan back to VA without the family and their luggage...cruise set at 70-75 mph, 102 degrees around Cleveland, 13.5 hours straight through. My mpg at the end of the trip was 33.8 - impressive. Very quiet ride while cruising, but just enough road feel on less than perfect surfaces to remind me that I'm in a SAAB and not a Buick, which I like. I now know after looking at Buick's web site that a lot of the 95's interior, and even some exterior parts, come from GM. At times, you could think you're driving a Regal Turbo. Personally, I think that's reason enough to not pay the original full $45k price tag for the SAAB (which I did not), as the Regal Turbo goes for about $30k. I do love the 95, and it's a real pleasure to drive. My teenage kids really appreciate the extra room in the back seat, as they were feeling cramped in our 2009 93 SC. There is more than enough SAAB left in it (especially the dash design and layout)to keep any SAAB fan happy, including this fan, but part of me is happy that GM did not get the chance to take any more Swedish character out of SAABs. I heard recently that the Trollhattan plant will now build electric vehicles based on the 93 platform, and will likely use the SAAB name. Interesting.
Insurance is about $200 more per year than my 2009 93 SportCombi, so it was not as bad as what I had thought it would be. I have Liberty Mutual.
Bottom line - I hope to get many happy years out of the 95.
