I am having trouble with the idea that the stock springs have sagged, perhaps they were replaced with something that did not stand up, or forbid, someing cut a coil off of the stock springs or heat softened the last coil for the same result.
There is very little travel in the front suspension and there is a design intent to go to the bump stops. If the springs are lowered, then there is less travel before the stops. If the shocks are worn out, the sound of the struts bottoming out is nasty and sounds like hammering.
When I installed Koni shocks, I hacked off over 1" of the bump stops to get more free travel and I stuck with the stock SE springs. These never showed any signs of trouble at 150K when the 95SET was killed by a SUV.
If you have 136K on the original shocks, you need to replace them and the upper mounts. You can eval the springs while doing that work. You need another SET to compare to with a tape measure for fender lip height.
