I had a broken coil spring Posted by IanC [Email] ![]() ![]() ![]() In Reply to: Re: '94 SAAB SE Front End Rides Looooow, Dean, Sun, 15 Feb 2004 16:37:31 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
I didn't notice the front end riding low but when I went over bumps I heard a rattling. Took it to the shop and was diagnosed as a broken coil spring. Couldn't be seen from the top, but after replacement the rattle was gone and the mechanic (ConnTech in RI - very good!) made a comment on how he felt the front end was higher after. I put on snows soon after and didn't really notice - handling was improved though.
The mechanic siad he had seen a few other Saabs with the same issue, thought it might have something to do with the cold.
Something to check out.
Ian
