Do you know your sludge status? Mine was doing the same thing (after I replaced the oil pressure sensor). It would flicker on and off when warm at idle speeds, and only occasionally did this.
I found sludge under the valve cover, and assumed that there was "gunk" in the oil that was blocking the pick up screen, thus causing the pressure light to come on. My theory on why it only happened warm: because when "cold" maybe the gunk was thick enough to be stuck in the bottom of the pan. When it warmed up, it loosened up and was free to move about and block the pickup screen. The idle speeds didn't have the pump working as hard .. that is why it only flickered at idle speeds. Higher RPMs must have been enough pumping action to suck through the buildup on the screen. Sound possible?
I also was losing a bit of coolant into the oil (headgasket). This could be what led to sludge, but it certainly made some gooey chunks that came out of the oil after doing an oil flush.
FYI - before transferring my oil to another container, I filtered it through a mesh screen I put in the funnel. That is how I saw these gooey chunks that had come out. Also a LOT of grit and grime (coffee grounds).
I am not sludge free yet, but no more oil pressure sensor light! I am going to be doing the auto-rx treatments to hopefully completely clear things up.
