There are 2 documents to work from, 210-1714 and 210-1704 UTG.2
210-1704 UTG.2 is far more comprehensive and verbose and includes the updated procedure to backoff the bolts first. The first doc is basic and includes the torque table. Read both docs. They are both still posted at the Townsend site.

(I assume I owe Tom Townsend a large case of Canadian Beer next time I pass thru NC).
By the way ****IMPORTANT****! The head does not use a standard bolt. I happened to have a socket that stayed snug and did not slip but it was not the right one - it was late at night - valve cover already off. I can't tell you what the right one is off hand because I did this over a month ago (and no I won't take the valve cover back off to check :-) ).
My understanding is that if you delay there will be some errosion of the head itself which will make it a far more difficult and/or expensive process.
Hope that helps.
