Try a couple things first.
1. Get a set of cheap vernier calipers, pull a wheel and measure the rotors. It its within spec then no need to replace unless they are warped.
2. Warping will give a pulsation in the brake pedal.
As for the center muffler go to an independent muffler shop and have them fabricate a center section, when the complete exhaust gave out on my 89 900s after 14 years of good service I had the complete system replaced for about $250 Canadian and so far its lasted 2 years without any problems, not quite as quiet as the original but works very well.
Shop around and learn to do a few of the simplier things yourself. Also, try to troubleshoot things yourself as well. I recently went to a shop for getting my timing belt replaced on my V6 and they told me a full day. I advised it should take no longer than 4 hrs and that I knew the procedure all of a sudden the time was within what I budgeted for. Sometimes when a shop sees these cars they see dollar signs.
Good luck.
