Yes- that's the latch switch. It's the first and last switch actuated in the sequence. If the controller doesn't see that the latch is clear, it will not raise the 5th bow, and you should get an alarm.
You should be able to manually actuate the switch and check it with an ohm meter to see if it is switching. Also, you can disengage your tonneau motor and run it directly with 12 volts to see if it is bad.
