So I picked up my new (to me) 94' 900s yesterday. I paid $3500 for it and it's in great condition: very clean in and out, 57k on the odometer and full dealer service records. Has a few things that need fixing but nothing major. I plan on doing the following things next weekend when I have the time:
Change oil and filter
tighten cylinder and valve cover bolts
replace serpentine belt with a shorter one (the current belt is squeaking)
clean and oil the parking brake
check all fluid levels
Other than that, I can't think of any other things to do to it - any suggestions? It runs great - got a lot of pep, blast to drive, and I love these little european amenities and simplified controls.
Two questions:
1)where is the best place to get the shorter serpentine belt?
2)is there anything I need to be particularly watchful on my particular model Saab? It's been taken great care of - from what I've heard, Saabs seem to run forever as long as regular maintenance is done to them...
Thanks in advance!
