Central Warning Meaning ?

About a week ago I had a problem where I had gone through a place where there was deep water on the road from a storm sewer blockage. Shortly after I went through the water, I got the warning gong and the battery indicator came on. After the system sat and dried for 12 hours or so, it ran fine, although while drying, the symptoms continued. Today when I drove the car several miles, the chiming began and the Central Warning indicator responded. I noticed it went out and the warning chime stopped when the RPM was up and began when I slowed or stopped. I got it home in the driveway. The manual states that this [central warning light] is connected with: [1] ABS system, [2] SRS system, [3] Handbrake, [4] Footbrake or [5] Engine andf Electrical Systems [high collant temp, low oil pressure or low battery voltage.] Any ideas where to start ? Thanks W.B.
