The rust has finally gotten to the exhaust on my 1997 900SEt 5dr, 5 spd with 127K miles. Oh darn, now I will have to replace it with the Sport Exhaust (stainless steel). 8oD

My question has to do with the flexpipe - I need to replace this as well, since it is the flexpipe that is actually worn. Is the factory flexpipe okay to go with, or is there another option, perhaps stainless steel as well? How many clamps will I need in total - 2 for the Sport Exhaust and 1 more for the flexpipe = 3? I searched, both here and the 9-3 board, but did not find exactly what I was looking for.

Eventually I would like to add the 3in downpipe as well, but would rather a stainless option (waiting MP). Also, I could do the $4-500 for flexpipe and saab sport exhaust, but do not have $1,000 for the full turbo-back, although I am open to options. Would need to run both cats if full exhaust, and therefore have both o2 sensors holes.

Any thoughts? Thanks for reading, and any help offered. Sorry for the length.
