Seems widespread opinion is that the V6 NG900's of any year are best avoided - if you want more power, just get an SE Turbo. Otherwise you're gonna be shelling out a pretty big repair bill every 30k miles - the four bangers have timing chains that can last up to 250k miles with regular oil changes and maintenance.
Even though a lot of people seem to think the 94 is the worst year - regardless if this is the case or not - I love my 94 900S. Yes - if I could afford it I'd get a 98 SE Turbo with all the updates that my 94 lacks: shift linkage, hydraulic clutch, improved suspension. As it is, 94's are still great cars - and can be had for relatively little money.
