Hi,
I have checked the bulbs and they are in the right way round and are all correct (purchased them from Halfords – the chart their recommends the correct bulb for each model)
However the ‘Brakelight failure’ message and also ‘Rearlight failure messages still appear.
However both the brake lights and the rear parking lights seem to work fine.
I have noticed one other thing. When I press the brake pedal, the front parking lights come one with this, dimly.
What is going on here? How can I correct this? Please advise.
Many thanks in advance,
Simon

My Saab 900 has a SID unit, which is a information display screen just to the right of the steering wheel.
It was telling me that ‘brakelight failure’, and I checked the bulb on the brakelight at the back passenger and it was not working, so I replaced it.
Now all the bulbs at the back are working correctly however now 2 messages appear: ‘brakelight failure’ and ‘rearlight failure’, however all the bulbs at the rear are working correctly.
And ideas what is going on here?
Is the SID computer faulty? Or what else can I do? I want to avoid taking it to a dealer.
Many thanks in advance,
Simon
