I suspect the no-run condition for my 95 SE convertible is due to a slipped timing belt. No flashing codes. It just quit while running and won't restart. The timing belt is still in position with all its teeth, that I can see. Engine cranks as before the problems. I have air, gas, spark but no-run.
I've pulled the cover and noticed that the cam gears are not all in the same orientation relative to the marks on the gears. Why do some of the gears have 2 indentation marks?
If the belt slipped, wouldn't it most likely slip at the crank and leave the cam gears at or near timing between themselves?
Do these cam gears positions verify a timing belt problem?
Where can I reference a belt change procedure?
