Yeah, I agree, tire pressure too low, I keep mine at 35, read the side of the tire. Also, this is just an assumption, but driving in the city, parallel parking (hitting curbs) can also do damage to the sidewalls... Also, 50k miles is very good for tires that had to endure city driving.
