Unfortunately, a lot of things could be causing the vibration - if it's shaking all the time, even when it's sitting in your parking space... I'm afraid to guess what could be wrong - motor mounts going perhaps?
I suspect your rpm issues are unrelated to the shaking - perhaps your IAC valve needs cleaning.
Please describe the vibes more - braking on deceleration would suggest warped rotors, constant vibration would suggest bad bearings (at least), vibration when you release the gas pedal would suggest bent rims or cupped tires. Remember to check the other side of the tire (both inside and outside of the rims) - I had a very bad shake come about recently and couldn't tell where it was coming from - turns out the inside of one of my rims was very badly bent.
