Brake wobble on my 1997 900SE with EBC Rotors and Pads has dissapeared after trying these suggestions. The wobble was quite severe and I am glad to have it fixed
BUT
I also just got my 1st speeding tkt ever! I was going 65mph in a 40 zone, 115$.... read on..
I was on my 6th and last brake stand when a cop came the other way. I was already slowed down to 5mph when he spun around and turned his lights on which is when I noticed him. I had stayed up til 1:30AM just to go out and try this with no traffic on a good 6 mile strech of road. He said he thought I had a radar dectector. He didn't believe my story and told me to leave the mechanics of cars to mechanics, he also didn't believe me when I told him I had built my car completely over the last 2 years and only trust myself as a mechanic. He didn't seem to care that I'm not a 'speeder' and have never got a ticket in my life. I asked him if he thought I could make up a story like that in 2 minutes flat, he told me he's heard weirder stuff.
In anycase, my brake wobble is 95% better! So in the end I guess its worth it, new rotors/pads would have been more than 115$. I just can't afford any insurance increases.
So if you think your rotors are warped try it, it's free RIGHT?
