The EVAP/ELCD system is the Evaporative Loss Control Device.
It brings the fuel vapor from the gas tank to the engine, where it gets
burned off during cruise driving. Actually the order is gas tank >> charcoal
canister>>ELCD solenoid>>throttle body. The engine computer controls the
solenoid, and under what conditions & how much vapor gets through.
You will be fine using Silicone Vac line or Fuel Line for this purpose!!
A lot of ng900/9-3's have a persistent clicking noise on the passenger side
due to this solenoid clicking on/off/on/off all the time. If you ever
wondered what that is...now you know. I think there was a service bulletin
regarding the noise and how to make it go away, but I never found it (then
sold my ng900).
